There’s a spot in Newport Beach that is called ‘Sunset Hill’ or something along those lines…It’s a big hill you walk up to grab a perfect view of the sun setting in NB. I’ve passed it many times but never made the short trek up there…Now I think it’s my new favorite evening spot. The kind folks over at DeLacy sent me this tank that has a very noir feel to it. I paired it with a wrap skirt and sunhat for a fun summer outfit.

Happy April! There’s always so much beauty to be explored and that’s just what happened at Casper’s Nature Park in San Juan. Aside from the massive amounts of squirrels and occasional prickly plants this place was amazing. There are horses, wide open fields, and fun trees to climb in 😉 I suggest everyone makes a pit stop here this Spring! I am getting more into drape skirts with their asymmetrical look and dress up or down capability. I wear mine with heels as well as my chucks. It’s almost Spring, what the heck! I don’t really mind because that means I will get to go back to living life in nothing but a bikini. I’m all for comfort, bold colors, or fun prints. Greenlee Swim sent over this rad suit that fit me perfectly and looked like every surfer girls dream. For those of you that are in SoCal…you are probably making all of your out of state friends jealous with how amazing the weather has been. I really had a good time trying out my Basta Surf bikinis and especially loved them because they are perfect to wear under a wetsuit. I wore mine around Huntington Beach and loved the light, soft feel of them.

Though October is among us I believe that my Summer is forever. Tourists have returned home and the bonfires are flickering out…but not for me 😉 I love Fall immensely and even more so in Southern California where its always warm enough to have a beach day. I love the rad pop of color in my new Lychee bikini with the mix and match tops. I especially like to browse their Tumblr page and see all my fellow mermaids enjoying their suits as well.

Summer is still here no matter what all the mourning beach goers say, and my favorite summertime treat is always a refreshing smoothie (obviously). The most popular smoothies around our neighborhood are made with strawberries and bananas. There are many different ways you can make your own, and if you have a blender it’s pretty easy. Here’s one of our favorites!
Ingredients: (serving 2)
Strawberries
1/2 banana
1 cup orange juice
1 1/4 cups plain Greek yogurt
3 handfuls of ice
Top off with granola and sliced fruit
