Recipe #1

I love a good salad, especially one that is colorful and flavorful!
Here is a simple way to make a delicious salad

Add:
Spinach
Carrots
Zucchini
Strawberries
Lemon
Optional- to keep it clean avoid adding any dressing. Instead, squeeze some lemon onto your salad and sprinkle on some pepper for added flavor

For a drink try any cold pressed Evolution Fresh juice and add a cucumber for a garnish

This one is my favorite! Cucumber Strawberry Orange Spritzer. Are your taste buds watering yet?
I began by pouring my Evolution Fresh Orange juice into a cup about half way and then filling the other half with sparkling water. Cut up strawberries and cucumber to give it an even more refreshing taste. Cucumbers are great to add to any drink like water, lemonade, or a spritzer.

This one was fun and so easy and perfect for kids too! Who doesn’t love a delicious icy pop? If you struggle with fitting greens into your diet this one is for you. Simply pour any green juice into a pop sickle mold and voila! You have a great summer time treat. The Essential Greens and Sweet Greens juices are perfect for this one πŸ™‚1 - IMG_0229 - Social

Bluebonnet Lane

I think we can officially say Spring has definitely sprung meaning one important thing…Mother’s Day. Now I know it can be hard to find the perfect gift every year that you feel your mom deserves which is why I was so excited when I discovered Bluebonnet Lane. Their idea is simple- curated gift boxes for almost any and all occasions. But, the way they do it is lovely, classy, and incredibly unique. I must say, this idea is pretty close to perfect for any mom out there. You could even give this gift as a birthday present, an Easter gift, or just to send a little extra love to someone special.

After talking to Alexandria, the beautiful women who started this company, she shared with me some ideas she has for future curated boxes which is GREAT and has me excited to see what she will come up with next. What do you guys think? Wouldn’t it be cool to see a baby shower box, a bachelorette box, or holiday specific boxes?

Slappy Hour x Kristen Williams

Hello readers! I am really excited to share with all of you a little collaboration I just recently worked on. My buddy and talented skater, Travis, started his own skate company (Slappy Hour Skate Co.) where he takes old decks are reshapes them for new use. It’s such an awesome idea and and cool way to recycle. We decided it would be fun to get some of my custom art work on a few of them so I hand painted some decks and they are now up for sale on the site! Slappy Hour decks are only $30-$40, so pick one up and get skating!

Strawberry Apple in the Arctic

It’s no secret we love a good smoothie (obviously). The best part of making your own is that YOU get to control what goes in and what stays out. Most stores add in ice cream or fattening sherbets and nobody has time for that when they wanna get their clean eating on! We partnered up with Arctic Zero on some of their deliciously low calorie frozen dessert. They sweeten their treats with monk fruit and organic cane sugar leaving the artificial sweeteners behind. One entire pint is only 150 calories leaving you guilt free while you indulge. I decided to use the strawberry flavor to my strawberry apple smoothie and it was SO good!

Mom’s Apple Pie.

There is nothing I love more than my mom’s warm Apple Pie when fall rolls around. Her pies are infamous in our family and I love throwing dinner and lunch parties with her merely for the fact that I get to share the delicious dessert with my friends. One of my best friends is getting married next fall and we had a fun time preparing a Bridesmaid luncheon. Try this recipe with homemade or store bought crust and your taste buds will love you!

Make your own Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Summer is still here no matter what all the mourning beach goers say, and my favorite summertime treat is always a refreshing smoothie (obviously). The most popular smoothies around our neighborhood are made with strawberries and bananas. There are many different ways you can make your own, and if you have a blender it’s pretty easy. Here’s one of our favorites!

Dumpster Treasures

It’s no secret that I sometimes like to pull things out of dumpsters and bring the items home with me (totally not weird). Things like dishes, old lamps, picture frames, and Β even a sweater. There are some times when I come across things that are really nifty, like an old skate deck that is unridable and someone thought to be garbage. If you ever see old surfboards, skateboards, or scrap wood, scoop them up! You could turn it into a really cool custom art piece.

DSC_0897

I decided I wanted to make a magazine collage on my board. I rounded up old surf magazines and cut out photos that inspired me.

DSC_0899

Once you figure out how you want to place the magazine cut outs on your board, grab some rubber cement (Hobby Lobby) and use a fair amount to glue the pieces, but not too much so that the paper becomes soggy! Finish up with a gloss coating over the entire front to give extra protection against tearing and give it some shine. Hang it up on your wall and you’ve got a cool art piece you made all on your own πŸ™‚

Pretty radical, right? πŸ˜‰
